If the computer was upgraded from windows 7 to Windows 8 and users want their previous settings to be reflected in the new OS, they can simply copy the contents from the folder of the old user profile and paste them in the profile folder of the newly created user. Every time the user tries to logon to the computer, this user profile is used. This user profile then remains permanent. When a new user account is used to logon, a new user profile is created. However, a simple workaround to resolve this issue can be to enable the built-in Administrator account, create a new user account using the Administrator account, and by logging on to the newly created user account. There can be several reasons behind this obnoxious behavior of Windows. Rather, every time they try to logon, a new temporary profile is created, and the user account uses that every profile to allow the user to logon to Windows 8. After Windows 7 is upgraded to Windows 8, or even after the fresh installation of the new OS, there are times when users are not able to logon to the computer with the regular user profiles.
